Project Description

Position Title: Compost Intern
Schedule: Sundays, 10:30 AM to 2:30pm, September 7 through October 26 2025
Location: Recreation Park, ���غ���, NY
Compensation: $1000 stipend. Course credit may be available.
Responsibilities:
Work with the ���غ��� Farmers Market board members and manager to develop and implement a composting program
Contribute to social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) by creating engaging content including photos, videos and stories to promote the program
Produce educational materials (signage, flyers, static social media posts)
Manage the collection of composting materials at each market
Ideal Candidate:
Interested in food systems, sustainable communities, program design and/or communications
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, outdoors in inclement weather
Strong communication skills
Experience with social media
Must be available every Sunday from late August through October
Ability to lift 25lbs and stand for long periods
