Global Days of Service

You made our 2025 Global Days of Service a success!

We are so thankful for everyone who participated. From ÍøÆغÚÁÏ to Brooklyn to Buffalo and beyond, our volunteers gave of themselves so their communities could thrive.

Inside the numbers:

  • 334 total volunteers (197 alumni, 20 faculty/staff, 58 students and 59 friends)
  • 25 total initiatives
  • Nearly 1,000 volunteer hours

We hope you will be part of our effort in 2026. We'll update this page early next year once we're ready to recruit project leaders. In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding Global Days of Service, contact us at alumni@binghamton.edu.

ÍøÆغÚÁÏ's Philosophy of Service

Our University community has a long history of community engagement. As a public institution "dedicated to enriching the lives of people in the region, state, nation and world through discovery and education and to being enriched by partnerships with those communities," serving the public is and always has been at ÍøÆغÚÁÏ's core. The ÍøÆغÚÁÏ community views service as a two-way, mutually beneficial engagement for the public good. Those receiving service benefit from what help is being provided, and those serving learn and are enriched by the knowledge and experience of community members. ÍøÆغÚÁÏ students, staff, faculty and alumni are expected to be humble and open to learning from the experience, which should benefit all.
